Once upon a time...

It all started with the search for a nice apartment to start a Bed and Breakfast.
We wanted to start from scratch to create a welcoming and creative place that look and feels different than typical hotel rooms.
Rome is full of hotels, B&Bs and vacation rentals, but not everyone feels like home.
Our goal was just that: "feeling at home".
We are the first looking for a place like this when we go on holiday and when we find it, it helps our vacation feel special.
The search was long and sometimes not easy, but the desire and excitement of creating something of our own was stronger.
Then, by chance, we found "Athena", a place that already existed for few years, and was ready for us to take over.
From then on we worked on giving it a new life, adding the detail and the little touches that make the difference for us.
This is our home now and we will make sure you will feel at home as well!

Athena Guest House is located in the Prati - Della Vittoria district, one of the most elegant neighborhood of the city, and is located one kilometer from the Vatican City, in a building dating from 1936.
A unique location for those interested in visiting the Eternal City and its many attractions while enjoying the tranquility of an elegant residential area within walking distance from the city center.
Piazza del Popolo, the Vatican City, some of the most important museums of the city (Vatican Museums, Etruscan Museum of Valle Giulia, MAXXI Museum of Contemporary Art and the National Gallery of Modern Art), the Olympic stadium and the Tennis Stadium are located all within easy reach from the Guest House. Moreover, you can easily reach the rest of the city using the Metro A which stops at "Lepanto" or "Ottaviano" both about 800 meters away.
The bike lane that connects the Vatican to the Olympic Stadium up to the Tiber passes next to the building so bicycle lovers can easily visit the whole city on two wheels.
